Team Toureen complete Virgin 10k run in aid of The Bridge Trust charity
Toureen Group has proudly taken part in the Virgin Sport 10k run raising funds in aid of The Bridge Trust, a charity providing life-changing services to homeless people in Kent and the surrounding areas.
Colleagues were inspired by the charity's mission and decided to raise funds by participating in the 10k run, taking in some of London's most iconic landmarks along the way. Like many charities, The Bridge Trust relies heavily on financial donations from both individuals and organisations who believe in their work. Through the team's fundraising and generous donations received, Toureen Group was delighted to raise in excess of £1,780 for The Bridge Trust and contributions are still coming in.
Proud Toureen supporter, Tracey Shannon, spoke about the day;
"The atmosphere was ecstatic on the day of the event, which was definitely helped greatly by the beautiful sunshine! Congratulations to all of my colleagues who took part."
The charity's Chief Executive, John Hadley, offered his sincere thanks for the donation, emphasising the importance of the financial support they receive;
"It is through the support of people like you that has allowed The Bridge Trust to help over 6,000 people, including giving a home to over 700 of them, for up to 2 years at a time. Not only is your support helping to give someone a home, but it also gives them a chance to re-build their life; sometimes the first chance they have ever had."
The Bridge Trust is a small, independent charity who has supported single, homeless people since 1991. The charity's mission is to offer the essential services that a single, homeless person may need in their journey from homelessness to independent living.
Well done to all Team Toureen runners who took part, your drive and commitment in supporting what you believe in makes the whole Group proud.
